how much does a WiFi installation cost? ▼

It depends on floor area, number of access points, and whether cabling is involved. A single 60m² flat with one AP and configuration is a few hours of work. A 200m² house with Cat6A cabling, cameras, and NAS is a different project with a different price. Tell me what you have and what you want, and I'll give you a concrete number without the runaround.

what's the difference between UniFi and a regular router from a store? ▼

A store router is one box doing everything averagely. UniFi is an ecosystem: separate gateway, separate switches, separate access points, all managed from one dashboard. The result is better coverage, no dead zones, network segmentation, logs, statistics, and the ability to expand without throwing everything out.

do UniFi cameras work without internet or a subscription? ▼

Yes. Recordings go to a local drive, not someone else's cloud. No monthly fee. Live view on your phone works via VPN or UniFi Network without routing video through the manufacturer's servers. Your footage stays yours.

can you install in a flat in an apartment block? ▼

Yes, that's one of the most common setups. Cables can run in cable trays or be routed through walls, access points mount to ceilings or walls. Usually one or two APs is enough for a standard flat. It's best to plan cabling during a renovation, but low-impact installs are possible too.

how long does a typical installation take? ▼

Simple WiFi in a flat without cabling: half a day. Full installation with Cat6A cabling, a rack, APs, and VLAN configuration: one to two working days depending on scale. You get the quote before we start, not after.

do you only work in Warsaw? ▼

Mainly Warsaw and the surrounding area within about 50 km. For larger projects I can travel further. Let me know where you are and we'll work it out.

what is a VLAN and do I need it at home? ▼

A VLAN is a separate logical network within the same physical infrastructure. In practice: your laptop is on a different network from the Roomba, printer, TV, and guests. IoT devices can't see your files. Guests can't see anything except the internet. It's not just for businesses, it's an increasingly common standard in well-designed home networks.
